On a recent trip to craft-brew-loving city Grand Rapids, (aka Beer City, USA) I opted for a beer pedicure at the JW Marriott hotel. But when the pedicurist began pouring a can of Solitude, a spicy, fruity Belgian Ale from local outfit, Brewery Vivant, into the bubbling foot bath—I nearly cried out in horror. Just as I reached out to stop her from wasting such a good beer on my tootsies—I noticed another full can and tulip glass beside my table.
